One experienced therapist who truly gets to know your child
Jen Fraser founded Speech Pathology Solutions after 16 years in private practice on the Sunshine Coast, bringing 26+ years of paediatric-only experience across health, education and research. She works with one child at a time, personally — so the person who runs the first assessment is the same person guiding every session that follows.
Jen’s work reaches beyond the clinic. She has developed and co-authored learning programmes and assessments used by speech pathologists across Australia and internationally, including the Eye Can Spell programme, Launch Into Reading Success, and the Dyslexia Screening Test. Her approach is strengths-based: find what each child does well, and build their communication and confidence from there.
Finalist, Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network Businesswoman of the Year Awards (2013), for the Eye Can Spell programme.

Common questions from parents
What ages do you work with?
Speech Pathology Solutions is a paediatric practice, supporting children from the early years through the primary and school-age stages with speech, language, literacy, fluency and social communication.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to book privately. You only need a GP referral and Chronic Disease Management plan if you’d like to claim Medicare subsidised sessions. We’re happy to explain how that works.
Can I use NDIS funding?
Yes, for self-managed NDIS plans. You pay for sessions and claim them back through your plan. If you’re unsure how your plan is managed, give us a call and we’ll help you work it out.
What about Medicare and private health?
With a GP Chronic Disease Management plan you may be eligible for up to five Medicare-subsidised sessions per calendar year. If you have extras cover, many funds also offer a rebate on speech pathology — you claim it through your fund.
Will my child see the same therapist each time?
Yes. This is a sole-practitioner practice, so Jen works with your child personally from the first assessment onward. There are no rotating therapists and no progress lost in the handover.
Do you offer school visits or telehealth?
Yes. Most sessions run from the Hunters Hill clinic, with school and preschool visits and telehealth available where they’re the right fit for your child.
